Our History
Horizon Community Church began when two churches partnered together to reach the surrounding community for Christ. Lee Memorial Baptist began in 1984 and Sunrise Community Church began in 2000, both with a heart for the Western Branch of Chesapeake and surrounding cites. On February 1, 2010, the two churches combined and officially became Horizon Community Church.

Our Vision

Our Mission

Grow in their relationship with God
-
Grow in Christ likeness in attitude and action
-
Develop a servant’s heart by using their gifts, talents, abilities, and finances to help build the body of Christ.
-
Intentionally seek to build relationships with others and to look for opportunities to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ with them.
-
Build Biblical community as seen in Acts 2:42-47.
